For the grand opening of its flagship store, Dream Closet, Rent the Runway partnered with Anyways to integrate immersive display technology throughout the space. The challenge was to design a visually captivating system that aligned with the store’s aesthetic while showcasing thousands of dresses from Rent the Runway’s inventory. The system needed to pull live data from a database of over 2,000 dresses, ensuring real-time updates of the newest collections displayed in-store.
The Anyways team designed and developed interactive displays synchronized with this extensive database, animating the dresses in real time through a variety of visually engaging presentations. A series of animated digital artworks were created for the end-cap displays, transforming the vast inventory into three distinct pattern systems: Kaleidoscope, Particles, and Grid. Each animation dynamically updates with the latest dresses from Rent the Runway’s backend inventory, presenting the collection in an elegant and visually appealing manner that enhances the immersive shopping experience.
